Granules are the rock coating that protects shingles from sun and weather. As petro-chemical oils evaporate, shingles lose adhesion, turn dry and brittle, and shed granules into the gutter. RoofRestor penetrates the shingle and reactivates granular adhesion, holding the protective layer in place.
Brittle or Cracked Shingles

What if it rains after the treatment?
We schedule the treatment when no rain is forecast for at least 2–3 hours after application, while it dries. Once dry, it does not wash away in rain.
Will it clean or change the color of my roof?
The primary purpose is restoring shingle function, not cleaning. Dried-out shingles do regain much of their original color, and the treatment kills algae and moss over time.
What does the warranty cover?
A 5-year limited warranty on shingle flexibility, starting on the day of application and transferable if you sell the home. If shingles lose flexibility during that period, the affected areas are re-treated at no cost.
